Ski area Saalbach - Hinterglemm

Saalbach-Hinterglemm is one of the best ski resorts I've ever been to. 270 km of slopes (of all difficulty levels, mostly nice blue ones) in several resorts interconnected with one skipass. There was really little snow this year and by the end of March there was no snow in the area (except for the peaks), but the slopes were perfectly prepared and there was plenty of snow on them even in warm weather. Entertainment is also taken care of here - Saalbach is famous for its apres ski. More info in the next article.

Accommodation

Check in from 3 p.m., check out by 10 a.m. The hotel offers single and double rooms, apartments and suites with different themes. Most rooms have a mountain design with the scent of wood - healthy living. Regional woods are used. The beds are very comfortable with high-quality mattresses. You can choose the pillows yourself according to your preferences, I appreciated that they were not high and did not hurt my neck. The entire hotel was built under the guidance of 5 elements: water, wood, earth, fire and metal.

The hotel is suitable for couples, but also for families with children. They offer exclusive services for children - in the summer there is an outdoor program. If the weather is not good, there are also many indoor activities - several game rooms, swimming pools, for teenagers there are rooms with game consoles, billiards or table football or game machines. It is also possible to order babysitting at the hotel from the age of 3.

I will describe our Veuve Suite  in detail.

Stylish decoration for all bubble lovers (Veuve Clicquot is a prestigious champagne brand). Spacious room for two with a terrace overlooking the mountains, with a work and relaxation area. Comfortable beds. TV, wifi, table with chair and bench. Relaxation area in the glassed-in loggia in the form of a harder bed with a view of the mountains. Electric kettle with a selection of teas, small fridge, wine glasses incl. opener. Instead of a wardrobe, there is a dressing room with a safe. Separate toilet. The bathroom has a bathtub and a shower. Interestingly, the floor in the shower is covered with pebbles for foot massage. Bathrobes in the room, you can ask for slippers at the reception. Hairdryer, tissues, large package of hand soap, shower gel with shampoo in 1 and body lotion. I would also appreciate conditioner. There is no vanity kit, so don't forget to bring your makeup remover pads and ear buds. Magnifying illuminated mirror. SPA bag with towels. You can tap "living" water from a local spring directly from the wall in your room. The hotel is very eco-friendly.

Food

In the high season you can order half board plus. All ingredients are of high quality, from local farmers. In the low season you order food from the menu. The food was very tasty.

Breakfast (7 - 10.30 a.m., late breakfast 10.30 - 12 a.m.):

Juices, good coffee, prosecco, plant milk, coconut yogurt, cereals, salami, cheese, jams, fruit, vegetables, spreads, smoked salmon, hot buffet, eggs in various ways incl. omelettes on request, hashbrowns, pancakes, large selection of pastries.

Afternoon snack (3 - 5 p.m.)

With a really rich afternoon snack, where there was always soup, desserts, salads and something small hot to eat, cold buffet, pastries, coffee, ice cream).

Dinner (6:30 p.m. -9 p.m.)

Cold buffet combined with served dinner, which you choose from the menu in the evening. In the buffet you choose from salads, cold appetizers, desserts, ice cream. From the menu you choose soup, meat or vegetarian course or fish course, hot dessert.

Wellness a fitness

The hotel has an outdoor and indoor pool with mountain views, both heated. There is also a sauna world and relaxation rooms. For sports enthusiasts, there is a fitness center open 24/7, quite well equipped.

Entertainment for children

Children of all ages will have a great time here. They have several playrooms, swimming pools accompanied by parents (none of them are specifically for children, they won't reach the bottom), teenagers have access to slot machines, game consoles, billiards, table football. In the summer, there is an outdoor program for children. For smaller children, it is also possible to order babysitting.

Other services

Parking - the hotel has covered parking. They are not garages, but parking house. For a fee, you can charge your electric car. From each floor of the parking lot, there are doors and an elevator leading to the reception or your room. The reception is on the fourth floor.

Wifi - from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Ski storage - each room has its own heated and lockable locker for skis and ski boots.

Summary

If you are thinking of going to Saalbach for a great skiing holiday or hiking in the mountains in the summer, this hotel will certainly be a good choice. Nice spacious rooms in a natural style, great SPA, delicious food. Here you will definitely gain the missing energy and merge with nature.
