If you are going on a trip to Kutná Hora, this hotel is strategically located next to the Church of All Saints with a unique Constance. Since 2021, due to the memory of the deceased, photography has been forbidden here, which is understandable. Less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel is another monument - the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist. It is possible to buy a bargain ticket to all 3 major attractions in Kutna Hora including the Church of St. Barbara. I also recommend visiting the Czech Museum of Silver, where you can walk through the medieval silver mine. However, I do not recommend it to people with claustrophobia or even more spatially, the corridors are quite narrow and low. Details about all the places worth visiting in Kutná Hora can be found in the next article.

Hotel Muzeum Lega will especially appreciate children. Lego cubes are everywhere. You can play with them directly in the rooms, in the games room or in the garden. You can admire a variety of Lego characters or buildings throughout the hotel (check out the photos below), including the large hotel garden or bistro. The hotel is smaller, has only 13 rooms. Each is of course with bathroom, tv and wifi. In the summer you can also roast sausages. Parking is free on the street in front of the hotel. The price also included breakfast, which was quite decent for a 3 * hotel, but only the sausages were warm, scrambled eggs were missing. In the summer, however, fresh fruit was on offer, which was a pleasure.

The hotel also has a small Lego museum, which as a guest you have for free, you can enjoy a variety of models. But if I had to buy a ticket to the museum, it's not worth it again. There is also a Lego shop, so you can also buy something. This collection is a part of private collection which belongs to Mr. Miloš Křeček, it contains over 9,000 pieces of Lego models and is thus the largest private Lego collection in the world. Other branches are located in Prague (there is the largest museum), Špindlerův Mlýn, Jeseník and Poděbrady.

The city center, where is the Silver Museum, St. Barbara's Church and more, can be reached in about 8 minutes by taxi, or you can walk about 30 minutes through a nice park along the small river, which is located under the Church of the Assumption. I was amused that a motor train passed through the park right past the bike path. I haven't seen the train in the park yet. I mean a normal train.

Hotel review

A small hotel in a quiet location in the Sedlec district, right next to the famous Constance. You may be the first in it in the morning before the crowds arrive. Parking is free on the street in front of the hotel. The city center is about 8 minutes by car or 30 minutes walk through the park. There are several restaurants near the hotel, and there is only breakfast and a café.

The hotel is especially suitable for families with children, children will probably be thrilled that they can build in their room from Lego, or play in the playroom or garden. Lego lovers will also enjoy the hotel, as it also houses a small museum with a shop.

We had a spacious corner room called the Luxury Room, 40 m2, which is the most spacious room in the hotel with a large colorful bathroom and a corner bath. The beds were comfortable, there is nothing to complain about. There was also a sofa bed.

The hotel is 3 *, so we did not expect any miracles, but it seemed special to us with its focus, we have not lived in the museum yet. Breakfast could be a little better, under the term rich breakfast I imagine something different, but for 3* decent. I was most amused by the Lego skeleton at one table at breakfast, probably someone waited a long time for coffee :) So it's definitely suitable for an overnight stay or weekend. But once was enough. Take a look at the photos and decide if it's right for you.
