Hotel review

Hotel Grandium (formerly Hotel Yasmin) is located in an excellent location in the center of Prague, just about 5 minutes walk from Main Railway Station and 3 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square. All sights in the center are within walking distance and you do not have to bother looking for the subway.

The hotel has 365 design rooms in the categories Classic, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Family Suite and Grandium Suite. Wifi in all areas of the hotel, incl. rooms. Coffee and tea in the room included, including regular and premium cosmetics. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Parking is possible in the garages for a fee.

If you like Asian cuisine, you can enjoy the hotel's InGarden noodles restaurant cafe. Or have a drink in the lobby bar.

The hotel also has a sauna, whirlpool and massages at an additional cost. Or several conference rooms for corporate events. The front desk is open 24 hours a day and concierge services are available.

I was interested in breakfast here because it is absolutely luxurious. There is a hot and cold buffet, coffee of your choice from the coffee machine, fruits, vegetables and I was especially interested in the sweet buffet, where there are fresh Czech donuts (filled by marmelade) or frgals (special Czech cake)! And of course, a welcome drink at breakfast, champagne or smoothies. There was even live piano playing here.

As for the rooms. Since I have been here several times and have tried different types of rooms, my advice is: book the original rooms with a black bathroom. The rooms are larger than the newly built ones and the bathroom has a normal door. In the new ones, instead of doors, there is only sliding opaque glass, which does not seal, and given that there is also a toilet in the bathroom, it doesn't seem like the best idea to me. And the rooms are small, the bed is almost wall to wall, so you have problem to walk around it. However, the beds are very comfortable, so if you only have a room to sleep in, you probably won't mind a small room. I also do not recommend a room that has a door to another room (probably for families with children), everything can be heard. This is especially true of the roof rooms, which are beautiful but, as I say, noisy.

I must say that the beautiful hotel in the center for this great price is really worth it. A few years ago, for the same thing, they wanted many times more. And to give 12,000 CZK for the weekend, it was not worth it :) I will be happy to come back here again, when the world returns to normal and often meaningless covid restrictions will pass.

My rating - 9 from 10
